Joined friends for dinner and they picked this place as we were last here six years ago when they first opened. There are very few decent restaurants in Sarnia so we thought we 'd try again. We had reservations and we were seated in a back corner off the bar surrounded by men who were well into their drinks so the atmosphere was loud and very noisy. Coupled with a crowded restaurant, it meant we had to yell to each other to be heard. Server was pleasant and took our orders. One had a starter garden salad which was very generous in size and looked tasty and coconut shrimp which were fried to oblivion. Her partner had a burger which was h u g e but he declared it tasty and hubby and I had fish...
What a complete disappointment...went for a Father's Day dinner, only to leave feeling let down, hungry, and down $100+. Food was so bad that we left it virtually untouched on the table, paid for it, and left. The server was miserable, setting a somber atmosphere, and it was just an overall bad experience. Even the ceasars were horrible. Regret paying for the gross food.To update, I was contacted by the manager, Jenn Daly, asking to elaborate. I did, and in finalizing, I made a comment suggesting one would have to be drunk to give a good review for the food we were served. My wife, who is dairy and gluten-free, had the Miyagi Bowl, which comes with a side salad and is substantial enough for three meals. She found it both delicious and satisfying. We didn't have room for dessert. Although we're just passing through Sarnia, we plan to return this summer, and this restaurant will definitely be one of our stops. Well done! Vegetarian options are available, including dairy-free, gluten-free, and vegan choices.
We had a wonderful experience! Our server was fantastic, the food was fresh and delicious, and the music created a perfect atmosphere that truly resonated with me. There were TVs playing sports for sports enthusiasts, but I barely noticed them. I really loved the artwork and the overall musical vibe! Bravo! We will definitely be returning!
