My family and I frequent this Twistee Treat often, as it is close to our home and we have always had an awesome experience whenever we need to swing by for sweet treats. Recently, we?ve really gotten frustrated with this location as they?ve messed our order up 3 different times in the last few visits we?ve made. The first time, we were pressed for time and were unable to go back for them to fix it, so my sister just ate the ice cream as-is, and we just chocked it upto an honest error. No biggie. The two other occasions, (one being tonight), we made it out onto the road and headed home before we realized they put the wrong toppings on one of our ice creams. The ice cream here is just average. While the menu sounds enticing, they clearly can't fulfill all the items listed. We ordered and paid for a dipped ice cream cone, but they were unable to provide it. When we requested a refund, the staff treated it like a hassle and gave us three quarters instead of the total we had paid, rushing off before we could address the error. We also asked multiple times for a lid but were given cups instead. Considering they weren't busy, it's hard to excuse their poor customer service. Overall, this was the worst customer service experience we've had in a long time. Places like Toppers and Cold Stone offer better ice cream and much more attentive service.
We enjoy visiting this place nearly every Saturday or Sunday. The staff is always friendly and attentive. We definitely plan to keep coming back. The only reason I’m not giving it a full five stars is that they often run out of one ice cream flavor. We tend to arrive about an hour before closing, but I’m not sure if that’s the reason or if they’re having supply issues. Regardless, I highly recommend giving them a try!
