Stumbled onto this cafe after a recommendation from a friend. As I have been off coffee I haven't been as adventurous of late, but this cafe was almost perfect.Our server was attentive, friendly and our breakfast was delivered without any delays or issues.My girlfriends all had coffee and the feedback was "best coffee in a long time", so when I am back on the beans I will be visiting again. I love their coffee, the venue is clean and the staff are friendly. I try new items on the menu regularly, not my usual manner, once I have a favourite or so I tend to stick to it. Have only truly enjoyed a couple of choices, I otherwise find the food a bit confused, I particularly hate my hot food coming to me cold, and many menu choices come to me cold due to the combination of cold food added to other wises hot food. I eventually went for the big breakfast hoping to at least find one or two items that I liked, but found it just tasteless from start to finish, the chef seems to not like to season the food. Friday night had a two piece musical act that was very good and definitely added to the warm and modern feel without being too noisy. Service was superb and welcoming. Had steaks which were good but not amazing. That was a bit of a let down. Too gristly. More sauce please. Desserts were delicious and artfully presented and the coffee very good. Wine list well planned. Pork belly for entree were a standout. Menu needs a bit more, but in time this is going to be a "hot spot" to dine. Great new Restaurant on Nepean Hwy Chelsea, if you are coming down that way you must try this Classy Café /Restaurant. Beautifully decorated,even the "Loo" is tastefully decorated.Food excellent,not a huge Menu, but great quality,fresh food Vegan & Vegetarian both catered for. Mate and I both bought the vegan meals. One was the expensive one (sorry can not remember) Though pictures are added. Also ordered a Chai.I was hesitant to come here after a close friend had a not so good experience. Though the only thing I could find a fault with (which I find sorta strange, though may go with the theme of the place - Alice in wonderland) was when we were given cutlery, we weren't given any serviettes. Not sure if it may have something to do with being vegan and associated with conservation. Dunno, just found it odd. Nothing crash hot about the meals the price seemed to match what you were served. Chai was average. I would try this place out again.
Have visited twice now - once for breakfast and another for dinner last night and both were great! Whilst not busy on either occasion, the staff looked after us so well and were attentive when needed. Even the cheffies were in good spirits when observing the kitchen last night. The food was modern without being pretentious and it's great to see something more modern in the area. I loved the lamb rump for dinner and the savory French toast for breaky.See you again soon!
I just found this place randomly as I was waiting for a local appointment. The staff are teally friendly and the place feels really midern ans contemporary. The coffee was wonderful and I'm hard to please. Atmosphere and menu look good so will come back and try what they have on offer nut it all looks good. Pleanty of seating indoor and out. If your in the area and want a decebt coffee I give this place a big thumbs up.
Thank you to the owners of Two Feet First, how wonderful it is to finally see a well presented, modern, friendly restaurant in Chelsea. Always busy, always fresh interesting food from breakfast, lunch and dinner, really great friendly service, prompt, effortless and an all round cool place to eat. This is my second visit to the fabulous two feet first. The coffee is to die for as well as the raw desserts window. Highly recommend the roast beef sandwich meat was cooked to perfection and not too heavy. The staff are all really professional and it's definitely service with a genuine smile and conversation.
