Went in about 8pm on a Saturday night, the menus were still on the tables. We waited to be seated and asked if they were still serving food. There were plenty of tables to choose from so a took a nice seat by the window. We were left with the menus, there are enough items on it but I guess some things are a little bit dull. When we came to make our order we were informed there were no mushrooms to that meant the katsu curry was off. Ambiance : 4/5 Service: 5/5 Food : 4/5 Location: 4/5 A brilliant place to sit in, If you are some one who likes to sit in a corner and read your book, this place is for you, if you are some one who wants to go out with mates for a pint and good conversation this plasce is for you, if you are some one who wants to take your partner out for some wine this place is for you. The wine selection is decent. I ordered a iced latte, which could have been better. Espresso shot had gone bitter and you could feel that in every sip. The staff and the service was spot on, very polite and professional.
I've been coming to the tyneside cafe/ bar for a long time and always loved the atmosphere. since the renovation it is further improved. although it is often very busy, it still has a friendly and cooled feeling. the staff are all helpful and friendly. especially a white hairy lady, which is very beautiful with us every time. I'm sorry I don't know her name, but she's a star!
I visited with some friends after a meal in newcastle. we ordered drinks and a few minutes later it was said that it was about the closure. we were surprised when it was only 10 o'clock on Thursday. we had expected to stay longer, especially since the drinks were not cheap, although there was a good choice.

the place is so beautiful, I love the vibe, the facility, personal were nice, prices reasonable. not complaining! I had fried the grilled cheese toastie with sweet potato and it was ridiculous to a very good wise!
good place to dip when they are looking for something to eat and drink. different selection of food and drinks. part of the tyneside cinema complex so that they can eat and combine a movie.
Lovely place. Enjoyed my lunch although both the menu and the waitress said the plainly pea soup was leek and potato. It was lovely anyway
a very comfortable caffe, excellent customer service, clean and beautiful ambiente. also shares the same building with tyneside cinema.

so much more than a quick bite before a movie. many interesting things on the menu to get me back. can recommend the fish cake.
Stumbled upon this breakfast spot. Pretty good, reasonably priced.
