"Typical local restaurant in nice location opposite the town marina. In relatively old building, we followed the friendly waiter and ordered mixed fish and seafood plater. The fish and the giant shrimps were fresh as if they just came out of the sea. For anybody who love fish, this is the most important ingredient. On top of it it was prepared with excellent spices. We loved it!"

Eye catching foliage covered restaurant towards the north end of the Marina, with easy parking right outside. Seemed quite popular but there were tables spare when we visited. Not much of a welcome, however. Some guy serving across the room peremptorily gesticulated towards an empty table and left us to it. Eventually, a gloomy woman turned up with the menus and proposed some additional fish options. Always favouring meat over fish, and noting a page of appropriate dishes on the menu whilst observing a blackboard outside indicating that cheeseburgers were a house speciality, I chose a cheeseburger. As our cheerless hostess observed, not fish cue heavy sigh and off she trudged. I can report t...

The restaurant has a nice garden, isolated from the street by hedge. The service is good, although as said by others, they do not accept credit cards and they do not inform about this before the order. Luckily we had cash, but it could be unpleasant experience if we didn't... The food was okay (fish soup a bit too salty and they had only chips, no boiled potatoes or potatoe puree available) and medium size portions. The lunch menu was 16 EUR including soup, main dish and dessert. The soup outside of the lunch menu (it is just a starter) was 12 EUR, and my main (moules aux frites, on main menu) was also 12 EUR... A bit too much for the soup.

The clue is in the location: the fish could waggle themselves from the boat to your plate, so close is the restaurant to the port. We had mixed grilled fish for two, robustly priced at EUR 30 a head, but worth it. We had deliciously fresh sea bream, sardines, massive prawns, squid and sea bass, grilled in an excellent herby rub and served with a lovely fruity salsa and proper crispy chips. We couldn’t finish it all. The kids had melon and ham and tomato and mozzarella carpaccio — delicious too. The place is nice and buzzy, the staff are on-the-ball and funny. But yes, you do have to bring cash because they don’t take cards.

We were driving Cap Corse from St Florent to Bastia to take in the scenery on our last day and came across this restaurant which was packed. The four of us chose the 17 euros formula, we all had the sardines to start which were very good with different choices for mains, we are very well travelled and have eaten in many many restaurants and would certainly recommend this one. I cannot understand all the negative reviews, menus do have prices on them lol. It’s probably these people who rate hamburger joints as the best restaurants in town too
