U Fanale - Réserver une table

Je suis venu ici avec ma famille car nous venons toujours au moins une fois lorsque nous venons en ville. Dès la première fois que je l'ai essayé, j'ai été tellement impressionné par les saveurs et l'assiette que j'ai commencé à le considérer comme mon restaurant préféré. Malheureusement, cette fois, les choses ne se sont pas déroulées comme je m'en souvenais avec tendresse. Oui, l'endroit était toujours aussi beau, romantique et soigné. This was our first visit to U Fanale after Covid. Previously, we had come here every year because of the delicious and imaginative cooking. Arriving this time, we were led to a table outside with the best view in the whole place. This was maybe the case, but there was no shade and the sun was unrelenting. When we asked to move to a table with shade, the waiter/owner became very surly. The meal itself was extremely disappointing. The meat from the rotisserie was chewy. It had been really bigged up by the waiter/owner. I can 't believe it has received so many excellent reviews from French diners! If you want food like this cooked properly, go to Chez Edgard in Lavatoggio where they spit-roast...

The restaurant is located just outside the crowded city center, which is an advantage as you can have a nice walk with spectacular views over the bay of Calvi, and it’s definitely more topical. The staff is really friendly and welcoming, while food is excellent. If you are looking for a nice, quiet place where to taste local food in a cozy atmosphere, this is the place to go.

We spent an evening with the family at this nice restaurant with a big terrasse. The food was outstanding. We had fish and the roast, both were excellent. Great view to Revellata. We will definitely come back.

Had diner twice here during our stay in Calvi, really enjoyed the food and wine. Perfect place to have dinner, even with rather slow service (at least for the non-French).
