Umami BBQ Sushi is the bomb!! I’m so happy right now. The Happy Hour prices are on point. The staff are friendly. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with the most happiest hostess. Then I sat down at the sushi bar and Kai delivered my food with a smile. He serenaded us at the sushi bar and it was fun and entertaining. The food was divine. Check out the photos. we had a really good experience here! came around 1:30pm and the place wasn't too busy, the food came out quickly and all the food was super fresh, well-plated, and delicious! the customer service was also really great, we had a positive experience with our server who was friendly and attentive. the only thing we didn't care for was the salad and we ordered some cocktails that were a little too sweet but those are personal preferences more than anything. would definitely recommend this place to friends and family!
This Japanese restaurant in Scottsdale is absolutely fantastic! Having visited several sushi places in the city, Umami is definitely one of my top picks. The yakitori is delicious and surprisingly only $4! They even have PXG highball on the cocktail list. I will definitely recommend this place to all my friends.

This was our first time dining at this restaurant. The atmosphere was pleasant and the staff were friendly. The food was really delicious, especially the bulgogi and BBQ roasted rice. I would definitely recommend this place and will be returning in the future.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal! Our waiter, who also happened to be the bartender, was extremely attentive and worked hard to ensure our needs were met. We appreciated that the entrees included rice, soup, salad, and tempura. Everything was incredibly tasty!
Exceptional sushi amazing staff and the atmosphere is untouchable! In the past week I've been here 3 times! Sushi brokers has nothing on Umami! The bartender is so cool! Her name was Stephanie too and I'm pretty sure we are friends now! Haha love it here!
Had some great drinks made by bartender Stephanie and had a great time stumbled upon this place after my date and I can’t wait to be off and come in again! She made me a mojito and my sister a virgin and both were amazing!!
