During hike in May when snow forced me back down the mountain I bumped into the Umbruggler Alm by accident what an amazing find! The owner, chef and staff made me feel welcome, and another table took me into their circle, exhibiting warm...Tyrolian hospitality. PS I’m paunchy and bald, not one of the pretty young people who always seem to get the nod. The large fire dried my wet clothes quickly, though still stayed hours soaking up the views, while enjoying a gourmet experience at very reasonable prices. All food is home-made with excellent meat, soup and dessert dishes. Around the locals started arriving, with hugs and kisses (pre-COVID) abounding as everyone seemed to know each other. The...
the ascent is quite simple from the planötzenhof to the umbruggler alm. the staging is not so steep, the way you climb in 40-50 minutes, depending on the speed. the route is a forest road, fixed shoe work is not absolutely necessary here!The alm is very modern and has very good sanitary facilities, which has been very much overweeted us.The eating is just as on the pictures here. also very tasty! today we have migrated to the umbrüggler alm for brunching. the multi-course breakfast brunch ( sausage cheese plate with homemade brot, prosecco, strammer max = tasted brot with mirror egg and speck, self-made carrot apple ginger juice, cheese soup, knödelburger with calfs table spit and pfifferlingen, yoghurt with above all the hut-keeper and the wetin are very friendly and you feel comfortable with them right away. highly recommended, we will definitely come again!
were today at 9.30 to brunch on the umbrüggler alm. everything was from the finest, cheese-drumb, fresh juice, super brot, ruche, dumpling soup, backhendl and a wonderful germ graft to finish.All super good, fine portions and also the pauses between the individual passages were exactly right. many thanks to sonja and thomas and the whole team. we enjoyed it very much and like to come back!

how well we have left this all the way! and have not missed this wonderful alm: the architecture, the space inside, but also outside, the panorama, the handwritten menu, the great service, the open fireplace and last but not least: the cuddly seat cushion ... the architecture is too much award-winning, just passing by is already worth it! sitting inside and outside is nice with stunning views of the mountain. we have only tried the dessert variation of the day, refined and very good. on typical day trips, certainly very full, but at least worth a visit.
I went to Umbrüggler Alm after a short hike from Hungerburg. The food is self made mostly and delicious. The most positive aspect of my visit was the great service by Zach, who was always attentive and very friendly. Thanks for this nice afternoon!
very beautiful alm on the north chain side over innsbruck. new cottage with very good kitchen, very good coffee and friendly service. kaspressknödel with salat absolutely try.
