During hike in May when snow forced me back down the mountain I bumped into the Umbruggler Alm by accident what an amazing find! The owner, chef and staff made me feel welcome, and another table took me into their circle, exhibiting warm...Tyrolian hospitality. PS I’m paunchy and bald, not one of the pretty young people who always seem to get the nod. The large fire dried my wet clothes quickly, though still stayed hours soaking up the views, while enjoying a gourmet experience at very reasonable prices. From the architectural side this alpine building is a well made mixture of modern design and typical tyrolean craftmenship in wood and local materials. Athmosphere inside and outside on the sunny terasse are phatastic for soul and feeling good. Beside this, you can expect kitchen, offering everything freshly made from only local products.
