Go ahead and splurge! Get the Ume burger and a large fries with a beer to wash it down. Trust me, you'll enjoy it a lot more. We went to celebrate a friend's birthday and had a blast. We kept ordering fries (so good) and...everyone got a burger or chicken sandwich. The staff were super friendly and kept filling our beers. Was it pricey? Sure, it's not Hungry Jacks, but you are paying for quality and deliciousness.
Bar Ume is a cool bar/ Resturant in the vibrant Surry Hills. I had an amazing burger here, awesome chips and varied chicken, with some edamame as well. Washed down with a cold asahi. Love the Japanese fusion with Americana. Also really friendly staff and...a nice vibe. Looking forward to my next visit.
This small Japanese burger bar sounds interesting but didn't meet expectations fish burger and waygu burger small and not like website photos! Perhaps should have ordered from specials list. Maybe chef having a bad day but not a star experience.
The fish katsu burger was absolutely delicious and so were the crispy fries with different Japanese mayos on the side. I am looking forward to trying different items on their menu Réservez une table maintenant
Friendly welcoming place. Ume burger and Katsu Fish burger were tasty fresh. Renkon chips with seaweed salt went well with the homemade sodas. Will be back to try other items.
Had the Ume Burger which was a bit too salty too and with much majo in it and Japanese fried chicken also too salty and way too oily to my liking. Surry Hills restaurant.
This is the most amazing restaurant. If you go, you haveeee to get the fries! They’re like no other (in a good way) good vegetarian options as well! Recommend for sure!
Really tasty Japanese meets American burgers, and the twist of flavours really works. Soft milk bun, crunchy cabbage and really juicy chicken katsu was delicious. Réservez une table maintenant
