The server ALin is very impatient when we were ordering. Someone in our party has severe food allergies and we were trying to explain the situation n she showed such attitude. She practically was yelling, telling us just order We have been to many sushi restaurants and we always made sure to tell the waiter. We also know that different Japanese n restaurants may use diff ingredients condiments in the sushi. On top of that , our tea were never topped up. It was off hour and there weren't many customers. Too bad the service is so bad and I can't trust the how they r preparing the food.
Our family came to NYC for an overnight visit and enjoyed a delicious dinner at Umi Sushi. Everything we ordered, from soup to sushi, was fresh and full of flavor. Our family prefers a traditional sushi restaurant where the emphasis is on the food and UMI Sushi was just right for us. Two days later we were still talking about the Panda roll highly recommend it! I was, particularly, surprised with the reasonable prices; they made a great meal even better! We'll definitely be back on our next visit to NYC.
My daughter and I ate here before going to the Papermill Playhouse. It's very conveniently located. It's only a short walk from the playhouse. The food was good and they had some interesting choices on the menu. It appears as though they are in the process of doing some renovations. At least I hope that's the case. It has the potential to be a nice little gem.
Good solid local sushi spot. Their sushi appetizers are really yummy. Their basic rolls are filling but my favorite bites are the small bites you can only get if you eat in and the sushi appetizers. They've been very accommodating to my kids also. I frequent often for lunch and get their maki combo. Great deal!

Came here on recommendation from a Trader Joe's employee. The service is super efficient and the ambience is nice. The sushi was super satisfying and loved that they did lunch specials on a Saturday! 4.3 rounded down to a 4. Would come back if I'm in the area
Extremely rude. Called to place a pick up order, Alin picked up the phone was rude and yelled at me for asking a simple question. I asked to speak to the manager was further yelled at and then she hung up on me. Not going back
I recently dined at this restaurant for the first time and was blown away by the fantastic food. The Treasure Island starter was particularly delicious. I can't wait to come back!
Great sushi. Great cooked kitchen entrees. Host sushi bar servers are great, the floor servers need some additional work (have noticed that on recent visits But the food is A+.

Great spot for a pre- or post-show meal, just a few blocks from Paper Mill Playhouse. Great and accommodating wait staff.
We are frequent flyers and have brought our friends and they have loved the restaurant as well.
