I was in sushi business for over 7 years, not including other types of restaurants. Umi Sushi in Lake Oswego is the best Japanese restaurant in Oregon. Great quality of fish, perfect balance of taste, reasonable price and excellent service! I ordered a Chirashi and many other roles and Nigiris with my family. The Chirashi was excellent. My children loved all the roles and Nigiris so they ordered the same roles twice. I finally found my favorite Japanese restaurant in Oregon.

This sushi restaurant is really fantastic. The sushi is really fresh and delicious. Chef's the best. They will be impressed by the type of owner who always greets guests with a smile and kindness. My family really likes the food in this restaurant. Our church members and locals really like this restaurant. We are so happy to have such a wonderful restaurant in our Lake Oswego. I want to recommend to many people to come.

Delicious and fresh! The sushi was fresh (highly recommend the spicy tuna if you like wasabi), the ramen tasted like it was made with actual broth (not paste), medium-sized sake menu with a great explanation for beginners, and an otherwise varied menu that means there's something for everyone. I'll be back!

The sushi meat was very firm and tender and buttery. I could tell it was very fresh . They kept the door open for me late even when they were closing and made me an excellent dinner. I hadn't eaten sushi in months and I was not disappointed with the takeout.

Excellent and fresh sushi. It is a great neighborhood sushi place where we go at least twice a month. Always fresh and the owner chef has some special fish not on the menu; please ask him. Quality of the nigiri's has always been superior.
