We came to Sydney for friend's 1 year old's birthday party. We havent seen a bunch of our friends for about a year so this was a good catch up opportunity. Our friends are serbian and put in a massive lunch party where there was so much food that we we full to the brim. After the party died down we got a lift from our good friends back to the city and decided to stop at Una's to catch up a little bit more. We wanted to share a meal between us two because we were so full after the lunch party but were blatantly refused this option unless we paid 14.90 per person or ordered a side dish. We obviously went for the 2nd option. Then he was asking if we wanted to order drinks but was kinda pushy about...

Una's has been near King's Cross for decades and has been a favourite with locals and tourists alike. We went through the menu through many visits long ago and settled on jaeger schnitzel as No 1. It comes with a bowl of salad and a serving of rosti, but these days the creamy mushroom sauce has been replaced by mushrooms drowning in an English gravy, probably the type sold commercially in big plastic buckets. Una's, please go back to how you made it in the old days.
Unas gives you - huge portions of amazing quality food. Anything on the menu is good and massive!- an equally impressive price tag. I have never walked out of this place feeling either poor , or hungry!- a nice escape from the usual pretentious eastern suburbs restaurants rubbish It won't give you 5 star service. They are real, practical down to earth people that won't take your **** basically. Walk in knowing this and you'll have a brilliant time
I was recommended by friends to go try some authentic German/ Austrian food in Sydney. We ordered fried Camembert, chicken schnitzel and goulash with spetzel. The food came very quickly and the servings generous... however the staff lady was very cold and rather unfriendly... not exactly a place you would want to spend a nice Saturday lunch... also there are a lot of dining rules and extra payments... I doubt I will return. Réservez une table maintenant
I live overseas and I returned to Sydney for work. I caught up with friends at Una's for dinner. The quality of food is still excellent as are the great beers they have on the menu. The decor in winter is like you are in an Austrian ski lodge. Great job and keep up the good work.
This fabulous long running restaurant is a Sydney favourite.European home style cooking and a full stocked bar does not disappoint.TIP: This is about relaxed heavy food and no 'attitude' from the staff who are helpful, friendly and even share a joke or two with dinners.
Made an order on deliveroo and it arrived with a cooked cockroach. Appalling that this still happens in Sydney - this place should be immediately shut down.
I've been regular at Una's for many years. I know many people think there's better, but I do love me a Chicken Jaeger Schnitzel from Una's. When arriving Réservez une table maintenant
Quick service and huge portions. This is comfort food at its best. The schnitzels can be shared between 2, just get some extra rosti!

"I was satisfied with the food. Burgers are between $14.90 and $15.90. The drinks are more expensive than other places, and the free Wi-Fi is slow and stops working intermittently."
