I recently dined at a restaurant with a group of friends, where I was the only vegan. The menu clearly indicated vegan options, which I appreciated. I decided to try the mushroom spring rolls and Brussels sprouts since I have an intolerance to seafood. Unfortunately, I found the spring rolls to be quite bland, possibly due to the dipping sauce. The Brussels sprouts were better, but they seemed overly greasy. Overall, I was not impressed with the food. Our server was also not very attentive, even though the restaurant was not busy. Considering there are many other dining options in DC that cater to different dietary needs, I don't plan on returning to this restaurant.

My husband and I dined at this restaurant one year ago on our first night in DC, and we had such a wonderful experience that we just had to return on our first night back in the city. The stir-fried okra and broccolini dish was just as delicious as I remembered - charred, savory, and full of umami. My husband enjoyed the kale nachos and we both loved the mango passion sorbet for dessert. I highly recommend trying the ancho spicy margarita as well. The food, ambiance, and wait staff at this restaurant are all top-notch, and I can't wait to go back again.

While it's nice that this restaurant offers some vegan options, the majority of its menu is centered around meat. Unfortunately, the vegan choices available do not come with recommended supplements like egg or meat protein. The falafel and avocado toast was the only vegan dish I could have during brunch, but it was not very satisfying. The menu seemed quite basic to me. I may give it another try in the future, but I'm not in a rush to return. On a positive note, they had a great selection of cocktails and the service was attentive.

This place has been on my list since I moved to the area and it didn?t disappoint. The atmosphere is bright and cheery. We ordered the fried chicken, salmon and the duck. Our server was great and all the food came out promptly. The fried chicken was delicious, crispy on the outside but juicy on the inside. It came with a side of gravy (just a little too salty) and a biscuit. I felt like the duck was goo, comes with a side of bao buns and hoisin sauce, but missing a little Réservez une table maintenant

Went to Unconventional Diner for both brunch and dinner and let me tell you they didn?t disappoint at all. Brunch: Got three different items to share for brunch, and each was unique in its own way but complimented each other so well. The shrimp and grits were perfect. The BBQ shrimp had an amazing smokey smell which really made it stand out. The biscuits were also amazing, nice and crispy and the house made sausage was great. The blueberry pancakes were the fluffiest I?ve

Almost perfect. Great service, fantastic food. The sunny egg dessert is whimsical, light and very tasty. Fried chicken and gravy are great super crispy but the breading is a little too salty. The biscuit is the love child of a biscuit and a croissant an original for me. Dirty Caesar wow!! The smoked tomatoes made this dish a standout and the falafels had amazing flavour. Would highly recommend for a fun experience. Oh and try the pot pie poppers.

We were only in DC for a day, but we made sure to review this restaurant. It is now one of our favorite spots. We began with the flower cabbage with spiced wobble, accompanied by a sauce that added just the right amount of warmth. My partner ordered the curry and I had the chili, both of which were fantastic. The delicious main dishes left us too full to even think about dessert. We are excited to return.

The restaurant has a trendy atmosphere, but the brunch menu is a bit limited and may require adjustments. I had the Hot Apple Cider, Avocado Toast, and Hash Brown Patty sides, which were all delicious but didn't quite fill me up until later in the day. One big plus is that you don't need reservations to sit outside, which was a great bonus! Very refreshing! Réservez une table maintenant

Nice atmosphere and convenient location to Mount Vernon/Convention Center metro. Only a few vegan options but food I tried was excellent and server was knowledgeable about offerings and could offer advice. Oatmilk available for coffee.
