We have patronized this business many times previously and just tonight around 6pm as Fiesta Hermosa was winding down, my wife stopped in with my 2 year old daughter. We were over at the Birria taco spot that doesn 't have a restroom. My wife had known the business to be friendly the last time we came in so she thought we 'd be able to have my daughter use the restroom. There were a few patrons on the patio but the inside was empty. My wife politely pleaded with the older woman (was this you Kathleen? if my daughter who was on day 3 of potty trainer could please use the restroom. The woman angrily retorted, Absolutely not! Does Jeff still own this business with Kathleen or is she a new owner...
Uncorked is a charming wine shop situated near the Hermosa Pier. They boast an extensive selection of wines across various price ranges and types, along with tastings and a gift shop. During my visit, I opted for a wine tasting that included a choice of 8 wines, allowing me to select 4 for $20. The tastings were served in small glasses, and I enjoyed sampling the wines at my own pace while referring to the tasting notes provided on the menu. The only reason I’m giving this a 4-star rating instead of 5 is that I didn’t receive much information about the wines from the staff, which could be attributed to adjustments made during COVID-19. I had frequently walked by this place with the intention of trying the wine, as I noticed many locals enjoying the outdoor patio facing the street. On this visit, I specifically came to enjoy some live music from a talented local musician. My friend and I decided to try the wine flight, which we both found delightful. The shop also offers a few food options, which was perfect since we had skipped dinner and were in the mood for a small charcuterie board. Although I'm not a wine expert, I genuinely enjoyed the selection in the flight. It was a lovely evening on the patio, chatting with locals and their dogs as the sun set. I would definitely come back!

I am so disappointed! Went in for a bottle of wine (I live in the neighborhood and had wanted to stop by and maybe do a tasting with my husband) ... however, we were not acknowledged at all, the two women behind the counter were not helpful or even interested in helping us find a nice Cabernet or asking us if we wanted a tasting. Rude. Apparently I don't look like I have taste, or can't afford what they're selling. Nevertheless, I spend a lot on wine and there are far to many other places that deserve my business. I will never go back. Two HUGE thumbs down.
Happened to be in the neighborhood and stumbled across this little gem. The woman who waited on us....AMAZING!!! Everyone was super nice and outside with the soft music and the sun setting, was just breathtaking. I'm not sure about the other reviews as it seems they are talking about another wine place, but either way, definitely recommend. Thanks for making these Bills fans feel welcome. The wine was really nice, took a bottle of Pinot to go. Cheers!!
The selection here is quite good, though it may not be as extensive as a big-box store. I was pleased to find the specific type of wine I was looking for—something that's often hard to come by. In fact, they had three options available when I usually struggle to find even one. I had a great experience upon entering; the staff greeted me warmly and assisted me in my search for wine. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.
I always make it a point to stop by this charming little shop whenever I'm in Hermosa. It's a friendly place located on the way to the pier, offering a fantastic selection of delicious wines. It's a great spot to enjoy a wine tasting and pick up a bottle (or two)!
