We have repeatedly stayed at the Hotel Ochsen for a short break and can only recommend it if you like it rustic. The rooms and bathrooms have certainly been around for a few years but they are clean and well maintained. The mattresses provide great comfort. If possible, you should take rooms with a balcony and a view of Lake Constance (ok.. you can't see Lake Constance from every room with a balcony). The breakfast doesn't quite meet the standard that the hotel has set for itself. The selection of sausages and cheeses could be a little more extensive scrambled eggs etc. should also be standard in this category. The food in the restaurant is very good with a good selection of wines. The service staff is extremely polite, courteous and warm. We'd love to come back!! Walkability: The hotel is located in close proximity to the waterfront promenade. The city center is also close by via the pedestrian zone that ends at the hotel.
We always like to come in the oxen, and also several times a year. Every time we feel at home. Very friendly staff, super-leckere cuisine hotel is very central, all easily accessible. We travel with dog and feel comfortable because dogs are still welcome. Thank you very much to the good cleaning staff who work very thoroughly...without great tampam, what we appreciate as a traveler with dog... A hotel that has preserved its old charm. were here for two days. The whole staff is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are slightly older, but clean and the bed cozy. The food in the restaurant is very tasty and the portions abundant. The waiter always has a good saying on his lips. Breakfast also varied. Hotel has a good location and private parking. We were here for dinner today, the restaurant has a nice atmosphere, the service is very friendly and competent. The food was actually delicious, but unfortunately little things like the meat were nice and hot and the mashed potatoes were lukewarm. It's a shame, otherwise it would have deserved 5 stars.
