Firstly, I want to warn skaters who enjoy skating backward: there are restrictions on backward skating during certain sessions throughout the week. The manager, Annaliese, approached me while I was skating (with my headphones in) to inform me of this during my second session. I had no issues during my first session, so it seems like the backward skating rule is enforced selectively. Matthew E. had previously advised me to skate backward only within the poles or "safety beams," but when he took his break, Annaliese contradicted that by saying backward skating isn't allowed at all.
