Here's where I struggle...the service was fantastic but the food wasn't. That tea was great, but honestly that's pretty hard to mess up.The crab cream cheese wonton were so bad we couldn't finish it. The cream cheese was just plain and didn't have the fake crab we wanted, or if it didn't we surely didn't taste it. Also, the fried dish wasn't hot.The mango sticky rice wasn't good either. The mango was perfect but the rice was so hard and dry we also didn't eat it.I tipped them well because of the service, but we really didn't like the food.
The restaurant has a peaceful and artsy setting with lovely Thai artwork displayed on the walls. The food was of high quality, especially the fresh basil. The service was quick and the restaurant is wheelchair accessible. The prices are budget-friendly and the portions are generous. Vegetarian options are available as any dish can be made with tofu.
I have been to Up 2u Thai Eatery a few times and it is always a wonderful place to enjoy a meal with friends and family. The owner/server always greeted us warmly. The food was served quickly and the flavors were consistently delicious and mouthwatering. I would rate the food a 5 out of 5.
Do not trust the previous reviews, as the pad see ew here is the most tasteless and dry I have ever had. After just three bites, I had to throw it away. The new ownership has ruined this place, turning another Alameda favorite into a disappointment. Food rating: 1/5.
