This is my new favorite restaurant. Everything I have had is fresh, tastes great and new ideas. The owner and chef works hard in the kitchen and takes time to check on your meal. From a lot of the seats you can actually watch them and see that the kitchen is clean and they work together smoothly. I have not had one thing that I didn't like. My favorite is the Gumbo. I have had it all over and none compare to Upstream Grille. I just had a special named something like, Oak Smoked Backyard Pig which was excellent. The roasted pig would taste good on it's own but this had extra flavor and was cooked perfectly. Not dried out at all. My wife said his homemade baked beans with a few different kinds...
Sorry to be so blunt because the owner, Ken, seemed like a really nice guy, but this was one of my all time worse dining experiences. Our server (don't want to mention her name, but I would have fired her) was extremely rude, short, and lucky we were kind and left her a 15% tip. Our salads, soups, and appies were fine, but it went badly from there. We ordered the shrimp scallops meal and the meatloaf and both were overcooked and literally rubbery. I was very disappointed because we had invited friends from out of town. Last time I'll go to a restaurant from their website raves rather than customer reviews.
The food was excellent. We all thought the food was very tasty and seasoned very well. The waitress was great and very friendly. We will be back soon for more. Thanks for a great meal!!!!!
Rio Clemente on keyboards was outstanding. It was great to hear him and his companions on guitar and bass. The staff at the restaurant could not have been more helpful, very considerate.

Chef Ken really outdid himself at this restaurant. The food was very fresh and delicious. The staff was very friendly and attentive and the Chef even stopped by to see how our meal was.
We had amazing food, exceptional service, and the great value for our meal and drinks definitely makes me want to visit this restaurant regularly.
Pleasantly surprised by the freshness and imaginative menu. Our meals were great. Service was a bit spotty but adequate.
Just moved to the area and went out for a night out too recharge. Food and service were very good! We'll be back!
