Who doesn’t love Urban Plates? The only downside to this location is finding parking, which can be tricky and is paid. However, if you're an LA Fitness member, you can take advantage of free parking—what a great bonus! The mashed potatoes are out of this world! They are creamy, full of flavor, and simply melt in your mouth. Despite the parking challenges, I highly recommend visiting Urban Plates. The fantastic mashed potatoes and the overall dining experience make it a place worth checking out. Just plan accordingly and savor all the amazing flavors they offer!

This fast casual restaurant has been a staple in Pasadena for several years. Although the menu has been streamlined, it still offers a good selection of dinner plates, bowls, salads, and sandwiches. We tried the steak salad and the chicken Cobb salad, both of which were accompanied by a slice of cold grilled bread. The flourless chocolate cake and apple pie were excellent—perfectly balanced and not overly sweet. The dining area and patio are both quite spacious, and the service is quick and efficient.
Urban Plates provides a selection of fresh dishes and healthier comfort foods. I love visiting when I'm not in the mood to cook but still want something that feels homemade and nutritious. The restaurant has ample seating both indoors and outdoors. They even offer kombucha on tap. Additionally, you can conveniently place a pick-up order in advance, with a dedicated line for that purpose.
We had a fantastic experience! Isaela provided us with excellent service. Despite it being 6:30 on a Friday night, the line moved quickly. Our food arrived in no time. I really appreciate all the healthy, made-from-scratch options available. I ended up getting the three-side plate because there were so many amazing choices that I couldn't make up my mind. I've always enjoyed dining in at Urban Plates, but my recent takeout order left me disappointed. The lettuce was wilted and limp, the avocado had some bruising, and the portion size was smaller than what I'm used to. I've never encountered these issues while eating in, so I think I will steer clear of delivery from this place in the future.

The restaurant surpassed typical fast food chains. The burger was fresh, but the burnt char flavor was a bit overpowering. The fries, though thick and tasty, were not crispy—possibly due to the delivery. I might hesitate to order for delivery again, but I would definitely choose to dine in. The food was well-packaged.
