Ustria Val Sumvitg, Marc Cathomas

I had an amazing night. I celebrated my birthday in the Jägerstube (hunter's den), which is itself a wonderful sight to behold. We were treated to an immense and very delicious feast from local meat and products. We were greeted and served with top hospitality. The house is old, alive, cozy and worthy of a tour. I encourage families and visitors to stay a night (or few) and definitely sample what the team at Ustria Val Sumvitg has on offer. Thank you, Claudia and Marc, for an unforgettable birthday celebration. My family and I will certainly return.

A typical local Usteria with a small variety of local dishes. We tried the Capuns and the Maluns, which were quite as good as home made. It takes a bit of time but this is because they are made to order. The waiting time is no waste when you enjoy the unique views of The Valley Val. The open white, the beer from draft and the apple cider were fresh and refreshing. The staff is super friendly and will even arrange for an affordable ride back to the train if you are late or not inclined to hike.

Extremely cozy restaurant with local specialties and first-class wines. The hosts Claudia and Marc create an atmosphere in which you feel at home. I can only recommend the restaurant and will definitely eat at Ustria Val Sumvitg again on my next trip to Surrein.

We had a great time at Claudia's. The dinner was delicious and the room was cozy. The atmosphere is really very special and you immediately feel at home. We'll definitely come back.

Excellent rustic ambiance and friendly hosts. We took local dishes which were very tasty and enjoyed nice deserts. Overall great experience
