The Classic Banquet at this restaurant is a definite winner! My group of 6 ladies opted for the banquet to skip the hassle of making individual choices and focus more on our gossip. The entrees of satay chicken, curry puffs, and spring rolls were served promptly and were all delicious. My personal favorite was the spring roll, which was packed with flavorful vermicelli noodles. The main dishes included massaman beef (delicious), pork belly (not too fatty), battered fish (my favorite!), and chicken green curry (my least favorite). First night in Hobart and recommended by hotel member as his "go to place" for fantastic Thai food. Lived up to his recommendation. The duck pancakes were the best I have ever had! This is saying something because if they are on a menu, I usually have them. The daily special was fish, prawn, calamari and vegetables with chilli and basil. Delicious. The roti bread with mango and tomato chutney, amazing. Wish this restaurant was in Melbourne! Staff attentive and excellent service.

We all had a fantastic meal, our friends had the mixed platter for 2 which looked lovely, and our friends cleaned it all up, so that speaks for its self. I had Duck Rolls with Peking Sauce Yum!!! my husband had Pork Dumplings that was entrees done and dusted. My friends and I frequent this fantastic Thai Restaurant and we are never disappointed in the quality, quantity and the great service offered at Vanidols. Slowly trying all the menu but it is sometimes hard to go past favourites. everything from entre' to main to desert and coffee is fabulous. We will keep coming back. A little overpriced but very tasty. We were very satisfied with our entrée (Thai fish cakes), mains (bali ayam and a stir fry pork dish) and dessert (choc pudding), all shared. We felt that it was all a little over priced but not terribly so, and would recommend this restaurant to any diners looking for great thai food.

Been to the Nth Hobart one lots. Went to this one coz the other was closed for lunch. Was not disappointed. Freshly cooked Thai food with Aus leaning. Very tasty all round. All 6 of us were impressed.

The service at this restaurant was incredibly slow, mostly because only one staff member was attending to the entire place, aside from the chef. However, the quality of the food made up for the wait. Réservez une table maintenant

Vanidols is a wonderful spot for delicious food, with excellent staff. I have been there many times as it is one of my favorite Asian restaurants. Chef Van is fantastic.

I've eaten here at least 30 times and it is one of my favourites. You have to try the duck wraps - superb!
