Tried to call in for breakfast. Didn’t realise you had to have a reservation for breakfast?? Despite there being 3 empty tables (not marked as ‘reserved’ I may add) the member of staff we encountered kept repeating that we had to hold on before she decided whether we could be catered for. A couple on a small table spoke out to say they were leaving and we could have their table and other customers reminded her that there was an upstairs. But, alas she couldn’t seem to accommodate two extra people. We were made to feel that we were in the wrong for wanting to provide custom to this establishment and actually pay for this service! What an absolutely charming place. Small enough to feel intimate but not in the least cramped. The staff are super friendly and attentive, management really do have the ratio of staff to customers spot on. The food was amazing. We had a selection of tapas, about 8-9 dishes, between four of us. Each dish delicious, and generous for tapas. They serve a good selection of drinks and cocktails too. The prices are very good. I would have paid more for the good cuisine we received. There’s a car park just opposite too. Can’t wait to go back.
We held a birthday party here for about 40 people. It was a brilliant night, and Matt and Charlotte couldn’t have been more helpful in getting everything just right. Our daughter has coeliac and so all the food for the buffet was gluten free. There was a huge choice and many people commented on how good the food was without even realising it was all GF. We eat here frequently and it’s always really good. To do that for 40 was excellent and was very reasonably priced. Can’t say thank you enough.
I visited Vanilla Bean today. Our last visit just over 3 years ago didn’t go well and we left before we could be served due to the rudeness of the owner. I have purposely not returned because of how we were treated but today I thought we would go. What a difference….. Staff were lovely and greeted us as we arrived and sat down. Food was delicious had a sharing board. This is want I expected as there are always good reviews. I will be back let’s hope we get the same quality

We decided to have brunch on a rainy day in January and we were pleasantly surprised by the excellent food and service at this restaurant. The cafe was bustling with local customers, a testament to its quality considering the high level of competition in the area. It was surprising to see how many cafes and coffee shops have popped up in Slaithwaite since the 1990s when I used to live there.
Went here for an evening meal on a Friday evening, we were lucky they squeezed us in as we both had the hanging kebabs, I had chicken and my husband had steak and prawn, they were delicious, we have also had tapas here previously which was lovely so will definitely be returning
Absolutely fantastic catch up with previous friend/ work colleagues. Tapas to die for, shared a meat and cheese board to start. Fabulous venue, atmosphere, staff, delicious food, amazing cocktails, perfect ambience, totally chilled, highly, absolutely recommend!!!
The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was lovely. The salad I ordered was tasty and the loaded fries were also good. The chef even came out to check on us and ask how our meal was. Overall, a great dining experience.

We frequent this restaurant a couple of times a month and are always greeted by friendly staff. The food never disappoints and we are excited for our future visits next year.
