This is a plain nice Seafood Shack (That’s why I rated the atmosphere a 3), but clean and the freshest fish we ever had. Try the Warm Lobster Roll-Competitively priced and loaded with lobster. They have a full bar and the portions are huge so you can share and the staff are wonderful. Meredith and Lexi were great to deal with. The chef only uses fresh fish-not frozen and I thought the Cole Slaw was from a commercial Vat, but it wasn’t-Home made and delicious. Called and asked about sea salt as my husband is allergic, Praise God they do not use it. We were picking up at the Copart just a short walk from Varney 's. So we walked down, enjoyed the atmosphere and the service was outstanding. He had the bowl of chili and I had the cold Lobster Roll and fries. It was AMAZING! If we come back again to Copart, we 'll definitely come back to Varney 's.
Hometown Long Island. Outstanding, friendly, authentic Long Island servers perform like a synchronized team delivering lightning fast service. Ordered mussels in white (also available in red) served with an oven toasted slender loaf of garlic bread. The broth was very delicious, gently garlic.
Delicious every time! From the mussels in red sauce to baked clams and fish sandwich, served up fresh and hot. Don’t forget the onion soup or chowder/bisque! And There’s plenty of choices for the landlubber! The staff are attentive and friendly. Stop by and enjoy!

This place is not fancy. The best fried flounder on Long Island. The staff was great.
The lobster roll was so good! I am looking forward to eating at Varney's again soon.
