If you are craving genuine Greek food , Vasilis Taverna is the place! Just like in the Greek Islands, clean , warm , hospitable and the food speaks for itself! It's almost you're invited to someones house in Greece. I have been to most Greek restaurants, Vasilis is the real deal only with better prices! We had octopus ,saganaki, calamari, fish, lamb chops This seafood orzo that reminded me my grandmother. Salad , fried zucchini, mussels. Truly thank you for the experience. Ps , We also enjoyed a wonderful assyrtiko wine that we brought.
Just had a delicious meal at Vasili’s. Definitely one of the best Greek meals I’ve had in the area. Food tastes homemade and (cliche alert) like it was made with love. Huge portions and everything was great, especially the tzatziki, the chicken and pork souvlaki, and even the grilled vegetables (which were surprisingly delicious). Also really appreciated the complimentary hummus and bread/pita basket. Service was fast and our waitress Jenna was very nice! Will definitely be back!
What a GEM! This restaurant serves fantastic, authentic Greek cuisine! I grew up in New Jersey but moved to the Midwest 27 years ago. I visit my mother three times a year, and she told me about this wonderful spot. Having grown up in a Greek-American household where my mother and Yiayia (grandmother) made the most delicious Greek dishes, I can confidently say that the food here is 100% genuine Greek! The dessert was a bit disappointing, though. Don't miss out on this place!
I recently had a wonderful experience at Vasilis Taverna. The new owners were incredibly warm and welcoming, which helped create a fantastic atmosphere, complete with lovely music. The salad was fresh and crunchy, and the calamari was cooked to perfection! The lamb chops were excellent—very tender and packed with flavor. I highly recommend Vasilis and can’t wait for my next dining experience there!

Check out the size of the shrimp! The special came with a side of spinach and lemon potatoes, and it was absolutely delicious. The service was excellent as well. Our dinner group really enjoyed our meals and we never felt rushed. Thank you, Vasilis!
Best authentic Greek food in the area. Doesn't look any further. Uses fresh quality ingredients every time. Recently finding this local jewel has saved me traveling across the bridge in NY. And to get rid of it from the new owner is a great guy.
We found Vasili’s tavern by accident, and wow, what a find! I had the salmon with spinach and roasted potatoes, and it was delicious. Wonderful service and a very pleasant family atmosphere. Keep up the good work!
