Vassi's Drive-in - Réservation de table

Placed an order for pickup Saturday evening, June 22. Was told 25-30 minutes. Arrived at 30 minutes and food wasn't ready for anything 15 minutes. The wait was not a big concern, I spent time in the restaurant business I know how it can be. However... While standing in the front ice cream area waiting for food, I made some observations. The guys behind the line are cooking with gloves. But what is the point of wearing gloves if the cooks aren't going to stay sanitary?! I watched the shorter of the two guys touch his ears to fix his earbuds multiple times. The taller guy wearing a visor I watched him touch his hat to adjust it, then put his open hand right on top of his head/hair. No gloves b...

We were on a time crunch due to traveling, took an hour to get the 3 to go menu items when others who came in after us got their food before us. We were also asked to sit outside after ordering ice cream but we were already waiting 40 minutes outside by that point and it was a little cold. We were given a gift card which was appreciated but are not from the area so will not probably visit this place again. Wouldn’t recommend coming here if you are on a schedule.

Best Gyro I’ve ever had….and I’ve been to all the top Greek spots NYC has to offer. This was hands-down, the best! Those hot dogs too, didn’t see that coming. Just got a plain ol’ dog for the kids but it was anything but! What a great place to happen upon by chance! Please consider expanding your business, this would be a great addition to Coney Island, Brooklyn!

I’m sorry to say this. I had the normal cheesesteak and a few minutes after eating it was rejected by my stomach. I hadn’t thrown up in 12 years before this. Ate here with my family a week later and had no issues. Not sure what happened. I’m not a smoker and hardly drink either. I just don’t know. Wanted to warn others however. We randomly stopped here when we drove thru the town around dinner time, as an alternative to the iniquitous fast food places. I'm so glad we did! Everything was delicious. We would definitely stop again if we were in the area. Réservez une table maintenant
