To whom it may concern,On the 25th of May, I was part of a group of Senior Pensioners from Chester Hill Community Centre that attended there for lunch. What I would like to know is, why your waiters/waitresses kept pouring drink after drink of wine, when the deal only included one glass per person? All we knew was that the group was having lunch there.None of us asked for more wine and it should not have been constantly offered to us, when it was not requested.Coffee and Tea was also provided, but at no point was it mentioned that it was not included.Your website (which I looked at after the event) does NOT say that coffee is extra, so one could reasonably assume that it was complimentary, as...

We were guests for a family of 9, 5 adults and 4 children under 6.We had the high tea which was charged at $55 for each person...even the kids! The High tea consisted of 1/4 sandwich each, 1 sausage role and a couple of very small tarts...hardly impressive...then there were two scones each, lemon tart, a doughnut and a ginger cake. Oh, and an awful glass of sparkling wine.I am a trained chef and nobody eats that much sweet stuff. There should be at least double the savoury and half the sweet. Then don't charge $55 a head for a 6, 5, 4 and 3 year old. Also tea and coffee with the high team would be nice rather than the end.So, take your hard earned cash and spend it where you get value for money.

I attended a function last week at the Tea Rooms. The atmosphere was pleasant but noisy as there were a few large groups. The food and service were ordinary, not nearly as good as the QVB or the Langham for the same price...$55pp.The staff were offhand, not attentive to the customers and lacking smiles!!!We had to ask for refills of the limited amount of teas, and some were not delivered when asked...twice! The coffee was lukewarm, a limited amount of milk was offered and staff hard to find when needed. I can't recommend this.We won't be returning. Such a shame as the area is lovely.

After having visited Vaucluse House, which is just past the tea room on the walking path, it was a convenient spot to grab a bite to eat. The food was descent. Service was good. Ambience was nice. Wait time was unexplainable. Wouldn't go out of my way to visit, but a good way to start or end a tour of the adjacent Vaucluse House.
