This is Heilbronn’s vegan café/restaurant, right in the city centre. Having heard about it I popped in for lunch and chose the soup of the day and a salad. It turned out that the soup would have been plenty on its own, being a generous serving in a large dish. I enjoyed this a lot, it being both tasty and filling. Still, the salad which followed was also very good – a nice combination of fresh leaves, lentils, cucumber and few other things in a nice dressing. The staff were very friendly and the food came quite quickly. It was also well-priced, not at all expensive and that, coupled with the feeling that you’ve just eaten something healthy, allows you to leave feeling good. The café does big...
First of all: I‘m really far away from being a vegan and I was really sceptical about eating there. But the Velo really convinced me of the contrary: The food is really great. I couldn‘t imagine what they could create out of vegan ingredients! It is so creative, tasty and even makes you sated. The food is not cheap, but in view of the really fresh and high quality ingredients it‘s absolutely worth the money. You should book in advance, because it‘s always full there.
The staff are friendly and it's a cosy little place to sit with friends. However, if like me you don't like tofu and soya based products then you have come to the wrong place. I was disappointed to discover that almost everything is soya based. This unfortunately means that I'm unlikely to come back again. If you are a fan of soya then I'd highly recommend Velo.
I went there last night, alone, as I was on a business trip in the area. Food was extremely fresh, healthy, tasty, and portions are really large. My main course was delicious, dessert was OK, not great. It is not really cheap, but this is the price to pay to eat good, healthy food! Booking is an absolute must. Réservez une table maintenant

Wir konnten heute einen sehr leckeres Mittagessen genießen, was ein absolutes Geschmackserlebnis war! Wir wurden super freundlich begrüßt und bedient und hatten in dieser Kombination eine schöne Zeit. Herzlichen Dank! Wir kommen wieder. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch
It is a hidden quiet place behind the hustle bustle of the main square. The people running the place are very nice and friendly and take good care of your preferences. The preparations are fresh and delicious. The tree outside adds a lovely charm to the atmosphere.
