The Venice house was only accessible through a set of ten stairs or so leading to a well decorated dinning experience. I sat in a smaller table next to a gas fired fireplace with a well stocked book shelf, mirrore for effect and lots a Italian statues, vines and flowersI had a veal cutlet with tomatoes sauce, baked patients, garlic bread and salad which was very well prepared for under twenty dollars. The variety of the menu was surprising. I felt that no matter what taste that you were looking forward to, the menu had something for everyone including an amazing wine listService, atmosphere, price, presentation, and cleanliness all rated well above average
I've been to Venice House locations in other cities before and was quite pleased. Not this location. About the July thing they got right was the Greek salad. For a small community the prices were about right. The entree on the other hand, terrible. The lemon potatoes was a liquidy mess and had no flavour. The chicken parm was quite disappointing. The look of the restaurant is quite dated and not overly inviting since it's in the basement of the building. Won't be making a return visit.
This past weekend we were driving through Nipawin, we stopped for lunch at Venice House. It was awesome! The four of us had lunch for $40! It was good food and good service. Lots of food for a great price! The lunch special items come with a starch and a big bowl of soup and your choice of Greek or Caesar! Like wow! The dry ribs lunch special was $8.95. So much food for the price. I want to move to Nipawin. Our small town doesn't have anything like that. lol
We usually have very consistent meals there. As we only go once or twice a year this may not be very helpful. I do know they have a very loyal following of people from out of town . Fishermen, tourists, visiting family, etc. Some have been coming back year after year.

We regularly go to Venice house.It is consistently good and the service is excellent. The decor with the plants needs updating as it has been the same for decades. All in all a very good dining experience.
Had the ribs and shrimp with the Greek salad. Food was very good and the atmosphere was very nice. Service was very prompt and the meal arrived quite expediently. Would definitely dine here again.
Went with friends to taste the Greek ribs. Pretty good but not lots of meat on the bone. Baby back ribs. Rub was good and it seems they broil them. Pretty tasty. Great service and atmosphere
The food and service was very good. Unfortunately the temperature in the resturant was extremely hot. Ruined what could have been nice experience.

Pizza was delicious. Price was reasonable. Service was wonderful. Place is still the old Venice House style which is nice.
