After a quick hike up some hilly/mountain type landscape we needed feeding and watering. Driving off Gibraltar bound we came across this stand alone venta and we’re drawn in by the large number of motorbikes and cars parked up outside. The homemade croquetas were the best we’ve eaten crunchy and packed full of meat. It turned out that all the products were locally sourced, fresh and really tasty. What’s more the meal was great value. We left a replete and happy crew.
We drove from Gadiz to Jimena de la Fontera. At a crossing we spotted this restaurant. With some doubts we enterend. Very friendly service helping ordering. Only local food on the menu like deer; boar; rabbit and chicken. They also sells local honey; cheese; meat nuts. Fiod tasted really great! Prices were ok.
Stopped here for lunch, pretty much the only restaurant in the area, but a very good one,had the wild boar special for lunch it was rustic Spanish cooking at its best,the service was excellent and friendly , thank you for the liquor tasters at the end of the meal, great value well with the trip to eat here.
Zanahoria aliña !!! Buenísimas Rabo de toro...revuelto de verduras...todo muy rico Es cierto que está lejos y hay muchas curvas...pero hay que tomarlo como una excursión...disfrutar de la sierra y los alcornoques.... Réservez une table maintenant
Muy buena atención por parte de una joven camarera, y en general. Solo tardaron un poco en el postre pero la atención general fue buena. La comida muy bien. Sitio para repetir. El entorno espectacular.
Poco que decir de la Venta de Galiz, un referente en el mundo de las ventas en la provincia de Cádiz. Alguna vez en la vida hay que ir.
Excelente comida, probamos venado en salsa, presa ibérica y lomo en manteca, raciones abundantes y unos sabores de cine. Enhorabuena
