I am a solo traveller and usually find that restaurants are not overly keen to take your booking as you are clearly taking up a table for two so they are loosing money. I arrived at Vesta without a booking and was immediately welcomed by Declan and given a great table by the bar. Between him, Anu and Sophie, I was given superb service for the rest of the evening. I had a good bottle of Malbec and a rib eye steak which was perfect followed by a beautiful selection of cheeses. I was actually sad to leave Vesta and would highly recommend it. I think the work they do for Social Bite is fantastic and an admirable contribution to homelessness in Edinburgh. Well done guys.
Called in yesterday requesting a table for two, advised by a rude member of staff they were fully booked while cutting throat gesture to us. While the few customers in there turned around to look what the issue was, we felt rather embarrassed. As there were plenty of tables free, i can only assume that they didn’t require the business. So we went across the road to Zizzi which was absolutely brilliant, the meal was superb and the staff really friendly. I would like to thank the member of staff who was ignorant and no customer service skills for his rudeness as we wouldn’t have found Zizzi.
Enjoyed a super breakfast dinner at Vesta, nice restaurant, great welcome service (loved the tartan suited host), great food the opportunity to pay a meal forward, I'd definitely go back any time I was back in Edinburgh
Had a work Christmas night out at Vesta on Friday and the Christmas menu was great lots to choose from and all three courses were brilliant!! The staff and service was also excellent! Highly recommend

Just had our last meal in Edinburgh of our 5 day stay. This restaurant gave us the best food and service of our trip. Delighted with both the food and the friendly staff. Totally recommend
A lovely meal with fantastic staff. Great value for money. A pleasant dining experience made more so by the positivity of the staff and the lovely ambience they have created.
Really nice, The food was amazing, I had the BBQ mountain burger and it was perfection; the service was excellent. The atmosphere is so good and I felt at home.
Had the best time ever for Edinburgh’s Hogmanay at Vesta! The staff were incredible and the food and drinks were amazing. I’ll be back next year!
