Each week, we venture out and try our favorite pizzas the Margarita, the Grandpa and the Grandma. Although Vesuvio's in West Milford did not have these on their menu, we decided to give them a try, anyway. We ordered a large regular pie a large pepperoni pie. Upon opening the box, the pie wasn't over or undercooked cooked perfectly. Upon the first bite.. here's what we loved: the crust. Perfect. Crispy but not crunchy with a soft center. The mozzarella was cooked over the sauce evenly. Of course, we have been trying so many margarita style pies that we almost forgot what a regular old fashioned pie tasted like. We just stopped in here for a quick couple of slices, the pepperoni was great, but even the plain slice was delicious. The crust is what makes it perfect, absolutely crisp and cooked perfectly. The sauce was mild, with a subtle sweetness, and not acidic or harsh at all. Really good quality ingredients made with skill and care. Will definitely stop by here again soon!
This is my favorite pizza place in North Jersey, and possibly the entire state! The dough and crust are just flawless. I highly recommend ordering a whole pepperoni pie. I haven't tried the individual slices, but I can assure you that a fresh pie will not let you down.

vesuvio’s pizza predates my arrival in west milford, about thirty plus years ago. my motto is that every business that has been for over 10 years does something right and vesuvio does exactly.
Easily the best pizza around. I can't say that it's gourmet-blow-your-mind pizza, but it's the kind of excellent pizza that makes my family keep coming back week after week. After week.
