Vidalia Restaurant - Lawrenceville, NJ

From beginning to end I really enjoyed everything I ordered, had the fried calamari and the ahi tuna with octopus salad as appetizers. Both tasted fresh and well prepared with plenty of flavor. Also had the Vidalia Onion soup which was excellent with the sweet onions. Our entrées were the short ribs over risotto and the veal saltibocco with spinach. I love a restaurant where the food tastes homemade and reminds me of how my Italian parents cook. Everything was delicious and well made. The place is quaint though very noisy, and the menu is decent. The service was slow and sloppy. This may have to do with the fact that the place was packed, still I do not expect to have to ask 4 times for additional ice for the ice bucket which arrived at the table practically empty. My salad was drenched in dressing which made it practically inedible. The pasta dished were all over sweetened. The tiramisu we had for dessert, on the other hand, was fantastic. I recently dined at this restaurant for dinner and had a fantastic experience. The price per person was between $20 and $30, which I found very reasonable for the quality of the food and service. I would give the food, service, and atmosphere all a perfect score of 5. I highly recommend trying the Garlic Bread, Lovers Shrimp Scallops, and the Cannoli for dessert. Overall, I had a great meal and would definitely dine here again.

This was our first visit to this restaurant and we were impressed by the creative menu, excellent food, and top-notch service. All three of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal and agreed that we would definitely be returning in the future. The service, food quality, and atmosphere all received top ratings of 5. I have never had better Italian food. It was truly exceptional. The service was impeccable. The outdoor seating is also available. I was so focused on the delicious food that I didn't pay much attention to the atmosphere. Rating: Food 5, Service 5, Atmosphere 5.
