We arrived at the restaurant before a show at the opera house around 6:20 pm and discovered that it's best to arrive a bit earlier and be ready to order quickly. Our appetizer, a giant and delicious pretzel, arrived promptly. The main dishes were also quite good. I had the spicy but not overpowering Hilda burger, and the potato keggers were a pleasant surprise with everything stuffed inside the tots, which I prefer. I highly recommend trying them. A great friend and I do the Stoughton Art Walk annually and stopped here for some lunch. We sat at the sidewalk seating which at times was a little noisy because traffic on Main Street can be busy but it was really nicely shaded on a very toasty fall day. Our waitress Ashley G was definitely being kept busy but she was so friendly and checked on us several times. I had the Crimson and Clover IPA which was very good! I didn't realize they were Norwegian, but if I did, I would have had some criticism! My family and I all ate at the Viking Brew Pub today and everyone was pleased with their meals. I had the Nordic meatballs with potatoes and Lingonberry sauce, paired with the Brewberry beer. My wife enjoyed the house salad and a Nordic ale. One of our children had the chicken pliers, and we also shared a platter of cheese cuts. Despite being very busy, the service was still good and the prices were quite reasonable. This was our first visit to Stoughton and the restaurant came highly recommended by a local entrepreneur - now I understand why!

I absolutely adore this Stoughton Brew Pub/Restaurant. They brew their own beer and the food is delicious, particularly the ribs and cheese curds.

Every time I've been to this restaurant, I've had to wait for 30 minutes for food that was cold. The place wasn't even crowded.
Good burgers, friendly staff. Plenty of room with second bar upstairs. Several TV's for game day.
