Vila Caranguejo - Réservation de table

We were so taken with the food and the service at this restaurant that we went here twice in our 3 day stay in Ilhabela. We wandered in because it was the only place open late on a Sunday. (Much of the town seems to close early in late October.) The first time we were with our Brazilian cousin who has a place in Ilhabela but had never been here. He ordered us the grilled fish dish with rice with broccoli and also some kind of creamy shrimp dish that was pretty great but a little too rich for us. We stoped to eat because the place had some good comments and it was in the villa center. Honestly, I didn't like the food at all. I had the sushi combo. The fish was clearly old, the taste was not good. Would not recommend the food there. The ambiance is good and the staff is friendly. However, for that price we could have had some better food anywhere else.

A nice atmosphere, with several different spaces in a garden surrounding. The service perfect, the waiters very gentle. We asked for a "caldeirada de frutos do mar", a kind of seafood stew. very very good. My dauther saked for a japonese plate thst was also very good. The restaurant is located at the historical city center of Ilhabela. Recommended!

We ordered the All You Can Eat sushi, for a table of 7. I understand that was a lot of people, but it took almost 20 minutes for our first course of cucumber salad and another 15 minutes until we got the sautéed mushrooms. Dinner took a little over 2.5 hours in total, possibly 20 minutes at the end was just us chatting. Réservez une table maintenant

Came for dinner with friends. The staff was very nice and took excellent care of us. We had the fish stew which was amazing! They also offer half protions of some of the dishes and salads which makes it really easy to share. Allegedly good sushi but we didn't try it. Has somewhat of a play area for kids

Nice place in Ilhabela small downtown. If you go at night you can listen to the live music from the other bar!!! ☺️The dishes serve well 2 people. Food is OK. Nice staff - we arrived after midnight on a Friday night and nobody rushed us! About 100 reais (30 dollars) per person.

Really great atmosphere, and their caipirinhas were delicious! The lula (calamari) was delicious, as was the Brazilian fish stew (moqueca) was great. The waiter was very nice and friendly, and gave great advice on how much to order since we were sharing.

Have great Sushi, a wonderful Ceviche or an excellent fish moqueca at this charming restaurant. Wonderful service. Generous menu. Huge portions. The ceviche appetizer is like a main meal, and the moqueca for two serves four. Réservez une table maintenant

Sushi, temaki, spring rolls, gyoza, fish, shrimps, calamari... they have it all. In my opinion there are better restaurants in the Vila, but at Caranguejo you will certainly find something you'll like!

We didn't need to wait for too long for our food and it's simply excellent! Nice place with good service too.
