What a beautiful location and decor! Big fan of The Tim Raue restaurant in Berlin. But my experience with the food in Villa Kellermann was shockingly dissapointing. We tried 5 dishes in total. Every dish was a big dissapointment. Nice presentation but canteen like tasting food. Thick flour tasting sauce in every dish. Salt for taste and i suppose thats it. The wine was what we enjoyed at least. Great service, thank you. But I will definitely not recommend this place for dining.
We liked the food. There are few restaurants that can devote themselves to a bourgeois, German cuisine, so difficult to define what is typical German cuisine. I think Tim Raue and Christopher Alarm are doing this very well. Here you can see enough tradition and also typical ingredients, but always with a certain modern kniff. Sharp, as one would expect it in roughness, doesn't matter here.
Tim Raue had the goal of creating an environment that creates memories of a visit to an older, wealthy aunt for its customers. It's perfect! The interiors of each room at Villa Kellermann are excellent and unique. Christopher Alarm, the chef, prepares excellent meals with a special 'je ne sais quoi' touch. Tim's restaurants are known for their efficient service, and this is no exception.
Location, service and food: excellent. We went for the menu that offers a really nice selection of 5 starters, all with a unique combination of taste. Then a German cuisine classic full of taste and quality, followed by Dessert. Besides the food, the best location is worth a visit, with good prices and wine available on the glass.
