Usually I visit this cafe for a weekend breakfast or brunch - always delicious fare. This visit my partner and I visited for a morning coffee and a snack - banana bread for me; raisin toast for her. Both snacks were delicious and well presented. My long black was superb and my partner enjoyed an excellent cappuccino. Table water was provided without asking and the very attentive and professional waitress frequently attended to refill our glasses. Very impressive cafe set among the half dozen or more cafes in the Edgehill Village precinct on Collins Avenue.
The restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere inside with a wide variety of delicious fresh treats and a diverse selection of teas. There is also a nice outdoor seating area located on a roundabout, providing a great opportunity to sit back, relax, and enjoy a meal with friends while watching life go by. The restaurant is immaculately clean and the staff is incredibly friendly, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
Escaped a snooty caff up the road and came here instead. Big brekkie was serviceable rather than exciting and muffin was if the mass produced variety, which was at odds with the gourmet ingredients for sale off the shelves. It's a cosy buzzy room, but best part was the friendliness of each and every person, who all took pride in providing true hospitality and that was very much appreciated.
We were heading for the Japanese but saw the village cafe. Wasn't too hungry but we thought we would give it ago. We had a beef burger and a chicken burger. These days some of the 'trendy' burger buns lack taste and are definitely for show. To my surprise the buns here looked 'fancy' but were fresh and the meal was delicious. We would definitely come back.

The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The background music was just right in terms of volume and selection. The food was delicious and left us feeling satisfied. The coffee was neither too bitter nor too hot. The tables and chairs were of fantastic quality and very comfortable. The staff went the extra mile to ensure our children felt welcome.
Nice location in an area that's relaxed but appreciates a cafe culture. Good selection of treats to go with your favourite beverage. I had a large flat white that hit the spot, helped by the recommendation of a staff member to use a stronger bean in the brew. You can sit outside to catch the vibe of the strip or inside for shady air conditioning.
The coffee and breakfast at this restaurant are excellent. The coffee was strong and delicious, especially the cappuccino. The pancake was decent, but the banana was done perfectly. I recommend trying the Daintree chocolates here as they are more affordable compared to other places.
Delicious coffee and yes they do takeaway. A burger and fries came out while I was waiting for my coffee takeaway which looked absolutely delicious. Friendly staff with muffins scones and cake also on offer. I will be back again!

Loved this cafe. Lots of choice for lunch, food was delicious with fresh, quality ingredients and the environment was ambient and relaxed. Staff were genuine, friendly and attentive. I recommend the home made sodas! So delish!
Excellent customer service and delicious food. Very happy with our experience. The Cafe is also beautifully decorated and has a rustic charm. Will definitely come back!
