Village Inn - Réserver une table

this is both a 'pub ' pub and a food pub so take your pick. we ate in the bar area but they have a more relaxed area as well. Service was excellent Toni looked after us at the pace that we wanted. Menu is mostly pub grub which changes now and then but I have attached todays as an example. I had the steak pie which was a proper pie not one of those with the puff pastry top. I also had the apple crumble and custard which was perfect. Good value for money considering location :

Not bad I guess, but I grew up in this area and I wouldn't choose this pub over many others. Food menu is very stereotypical and service is fine but... I dunno, not a great atmosphere of the sort you want to feel when in a pub. Maybe I'm too used to city pubs so take this feedback as a single visit review, as it's intended. Beer on tap wasn't very varied at all, standard stuff really.

Decent local pub, great for lunch or catch up with friends. Does big portion of pub grub, nothing fancy, but good. The conservatory is lovely for a drink and it has a good atmosphere on the weekends, with special nights. The garden is particularly good for summer evenings.

Sunday Roast was amazing , fab portion size . Vegetables were cooked to perfection and great choice . Excellent value . Will definitely be back

Very enjoyable place and great Sunday roasts. The meat is melt in your mouth #5starswouldrecomend (the roasts are banging)
