"We decided to try the roast dinner at this restaurant, but unfortunately, the meat was dry and the food was not very hot. The bowl of vegetables was overcooked, looking grey and wet. It's a shame that the quality has declined since the refurbishment, as it used to be fantastic when it was a carvery."

I made a reservation for a large group in advance for a Friday lunch. The only time slots available were 11am or 1pm, so we chose 1pm. The bar staff seemed very busy and stressed when we arrived, and they were not happy about our group ordering individually. I had called over a week in advance to inquire about pre-ordering for a large group, but the person I spoke to seemed confused and said they would call me back, which never happened. We had difficulty ordering food together at the bar and splitting payments, so it took a long time for us to order through one staff member. As a result, the food arrived gradually and some dishes took a long time. Although we were warned about this upon arr...

The venue itself is very good, different areas around the bar to suit everybody. It’s a shame they’ve done away with Sunday Carvery, but the Roast was pretty good, plenty of meat, individual bowls of veg, plates and gravy pots were piping hot. Out sticky toffee puds were a little rubbery but the sauce and ice cream solved that. Can be a little noisy depending on when u go. We were there to watch rugby so it was a fairly loud afternoon but we had expected that.

We had a family dinner on a Sunday night. Service was a bit slow, but the staff was friendly. The prices were higher than expected, but the restaurant had a nice atmosphere with large screens showing sports and cinema-style seating. It had a vibe similar to an American hotel bar. The manager handled the removal of a difficult customer discreetly. Overall, it was nothing extraordinary, but I would likely return in the future.

family dinner on a Sunday evening. service a bit slow, but personal friendly. that is expensive, but it is a beautiful room with large screens that show sport and a few rows of cinema style sitting opportunities. feels an American hotel bar. manager also looked at the ejection of a problem customer discreetly. nothing special, but I would probably visit again.
