I would give Village Taste a 5 Star if their Tandoori Naan wasn 't STALE, if the PETHA mitay wasn 't too SWEET if the Cashier was a little more polite. I arranged a large dinner party for more than 50 people in a banquet room at Village Taste Etobicoke. The decor and atmosphere in the banquet room and throughout the restaurant were excellent.guest commented enthusiastically on the excellence of every food item, and they also commented on the wide selection of entree items and sweets. I found one or two dishes to be acceptable, but the rest were quite bland. The booth seating was particularly inconvenient for a buffet setting; whenever someone on the inside wanted to get food, everyone else had to stand up to let them out. This design flaw really impacted the experience. At the start, I even requested regular chair seating, but my server falsely told me that only booth seating was available. Overall, it wasn't worth the $200 I spent. The food felt stale, and the desserts were mixed in a confusing way. It was a disappointing restaurant visit.
I had the pleasure of dining at Village Taste Restaurant tonight and was truly captivated by the classic decor and timeless atmosphere, showcasing meticulous attention to detail. The food was just as impressive, delivering flavors that met the highest standards. The wide range of dishes—from mains to salads and desserts—surpassed all my expectations. Absolutely pure waste of money. When we called to enquire about the brunch the staff told us there are about 40items on the brunch menu and it’s about 30$ incl taxes. When we went there there is hardly 15 items. Few of which are beef. Absolutely no salads or fruits.No more than two chicken curry dishes. Food is very low quality and the desert is stale.Flies around the seating area is an added bonus.Will definitely not recommend this place especially for a buffet. Don’t waste your time and money.
During my visit, they served two types of kababs and one type of fried fish, along with three flavors of ice cream. I highly recommend trying the biryani, chicken korma, and the veal or chicken karahi. However, I wasn't particularly fond of the vegetable samosas, though that might just be a matter of personal taste. Overall, it was a positive experience, but I wish they would open the buffet earlier; it feels a bit late during winter, especially for those traveling from afar.
If you plan to visit on weekdays, keep in mind that the menu might be more limited than on weekends, and portion sizes may vary. The food is delicious, though I found the kari pakora to be quite spicy. My favorite dish was the fried fish. The service was outstanding, with attentive and helpful staff. Overall, I had a fantastic experience.
Excellent selection of food available at the buffet from main dishes to deserts. There is something for everyone to enjoy.There is also a prayer area to ensure that Salat is not missed and all praise is due to the Creator of the Worlds who has blessed those to be in a position to have access to consume the food at the buffet.
