This is a staple in the maplewood area. The pizza here is worth the wait. The place is small and if you go at a busy time in may seem like you could get lost in the crowd. But they are attentive and notice who walks in and out. They try to get you your order fast. I recommend ordering ahead if you don't want to wait. But just keep in mind that this place can get fairly busy so you might have to wait anyways. I always get a personal pan pepperoni which is always good and sometimes I get a personal specialty pizza depending on my mood. If you want good customizable pizza definitely come here.
The pasta at this restaurant was delicious. I'm glad I chose the vodka sauce over their Alfredo, which always needs some salt. The broccoli was crisp, the pasta was cooked perfectly al dente, and the blackened chicken was flavorful. I deducted one star for the bread, as it was much smaller than what I receive when I order takeout.
Hidden gem! This is my favorite spot for delicious Italian cuisine. I always order the shrimp francese or the salmon special, but you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. They also have fantastic specialty pizzas. I usually get takeout for dinner. The food, service, and atmosphere are all rated at 4 stars.
normally hate ordering any kind of pasta from anywhere cause it is usually watery and flavorless. This was better than i have had in a long time found a new favorite place to order from. Wish i could give more than 5 stars

I am always happy with villager trattoria; for me the pizza is thin but not too thin; the sauce and cheese is not overwhelming, and I just love it.
