This is the style of traditional restaurants I appreciate so much when in Germany. The food was even better than I expected and for a reasonable price. Portions are large, but not excessive (just the asparagus soup was too small considering the price, but it tasted excellent). They claim to serve some locally produced wines, though I didn't take the opportunity to taste these. The interior is interesting with the walls full of antique looking items.

We had some time in Meissen for lunch. And so our Tour Director recommended this lovely, quaint restaurant. My husband had the risotto and I had the wild boar. We also ordered the local pilsner (which went wonderfully with the meal) and a plate of cheese and fruit for dessert. Service was very wonderful, and we felt right at home. I would go back here if I am ever back in town!

vincenz richter ligger like ved torvet i meissen der alle turister kommer forbi enten på vei til frauenkirche, til albrechtsburg eller til en av de andre severdighetene i den særdeles interesting byen. jeg var redd restaurantsen skull wære en turistfelle, men det var den ikke. hyggelig betjening og utmerket mat og vin. A more amazing restaurant in the historical sense, I haven't met. It's been a long time. The only minus waitresses speak German only, they don't know English. I had to ask the menu.

Lovely place in the centre of town with loads of history. Very nice wines on offer, great selection of local delicacies on the menu too. Would always call here when in town.

I was looking for a rosé wine and have a tasty "shoulder" taste.The menu was extensive and the dish delicious,the staff went on a very welcome one.
