After a while, our food started arriving at different intervals. We first got the cheeseburger along with one order of chicken fingers and fries. Next came our drinks, followed by the seafood Alfredo, and lastly the remaining chicken fingers and fries. The fries were decent, but the Alfredo was overly saucy and lacked any real flavor; it was quite bland and needed a lot more seasoning. The seafood didn’t taste fresh—most likely frozen. The scallops were tough and chewy, and while the shrimp and salmon were passable, they didn’t impress.

Our visit was incredibly enjoyable, thanks to the attentive staff who provided outstanding service throughout our entire week-long stay. I would like to especially commend Nekia, Donavon, Symeria, Brian, and Tom, the Sales Director. They make an excellent team! The General Assemblies of God Conference will be taking place in Ohio again in 2024, and I will definitely ensure that Sonesta Hotel Downtown is on the list for our group of over 100 youth. As a side note, I've worked with FamilyLife (the CRU Ministry Division) for over 20 years and have dealt with many five-star hotels. The rooms are modern and in line with what was advertised. They are clean upon arrival, but don’t expect housekeeping during your stay unless you request it—and even then, they may only come 1 out of 3 times you ask. The ads are quite misleading regarding the complimentary breakfast, as it is only free if you book a specific package. We experienced no water pressure during our stay. Additionally, the A/C unit is on a timer and shuts off at night, leaving you to wake up feeling hot and uncomfortable. While the staff were pleasant to interact with when needed, they didn’t address any of these concerns.
I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. Our group of four had to wait a long time for our food. Out of the four burgers we ordered, only one was made correctly; two were burnt, and one was overcooked to the point of being crunchy. We returned that one, but it was replaced with a rare burger that was cold in the center. I noticed other tables nearby also sending their food back. To make things worse, our drinks were never refilled.

They should definitely make it clear on Open Table that this is a hotel bar and not an independent restaurant. The bartender was struggling to manage, even with just a handful of customers; having an extra person to assist him would have been helpful. There were three other staff members at the check-in desk who seemed completely unaware of what was going on at the bar. I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you have no other options.
The restaurant is located inside the hotel. The bar and grill was quite crowded after a concert. Richard was extremely helpful; he managed to get us a to-go order along with a couple of drinks. I would only come back if he is working.
This is a lovely restaurant located within the hotel. The bar is outstanding, the drinks are delicious, and the food is quite impressive. It's usually not very crowded, although we haven't visited during a large conference.
I was pleasantly surprised by how much better this place was than I expected. I ordered the spicy flatbread and the sweet potato tots, and they were both really delicious. I didn't anticipate them being so tasty!

I was really disappointed to find out that this place is essentially just the hotel’s lobby bar. They don't make that clear at all.
The food was good, but the bartender/server seemed overwhelmed with work. The atmosphere was enjoyable.
