I visited the restaurant to purchase some wine, and the woman serving me was impatient, rude, and abrupt when I asked basic questions about the purchase. She also muttered what sounded like derogatory remarks under her breath. The supposed knowledge mentioned in other reviews had to be obtained through quick internet searches. When I asked for a specific country or region, I was met with an attitude as if it were an unreasonable request. It seemed like the level of charm, patience, and professionalism varied depending on the appearance of the customer (if they seemed affluent or well-spoken). This has to be the most expensive alcohol store in Edinburgh. When I expressed my shock at the prices, a rude staff member attributed it to taxes, which I found amusing because I found the same beer for half the price at a nearby location. They are clearly taking advantage of their prime location and charging exorbitant prices. I would suggest avoiding this place.
This wonderful little store offers a wide selection of wines, beers, and spirits, with a special focus on gins. The selection of beers is constantly changing, so there is always something new to try.

Five Stars for the choice of beers and wines and the friendly staff. Many of their beers are unique to them and cannot be found anywhere else.
Great selection of craft beers, wine, spirits, and cocktail ingredients! Large selection of bitters which is quite unique to see.
This is an excellent beer and wine shop, part of the Edinburgh group of three or four shops.
