We were in the area visiting a friends new place and made reservations here for brunch. It was last minute so this was one of the only places available around normal brunch hours we didn't want to wait in line. Overall I had a decent experience here, but I want to leave a review for those who might find themselves in a pinch like myself and hopefully get your expectations set for what this place is truly like. I did like this spot don't get me wrong. Their waffles are amazing and did I mention they have a gelato stand in shop? But one thing you should note is this is not a normal restaurant, it has a dining area but it also has a walk up and order area as well. If you don't make reservations...
This is the best Italian food I've had so far! I was beginning to lose hope for Italian restaurants in California, but this place is truly a gem. The walnut sauce pasta and the egg noodle pasta were absolutely decadent! Some of the gelato was quite good as well; I really enjoyed the honey lavender and pistachio flavors. The tiramisu and other chocolate options are very rich, heavy, and creamy. I personally love that, but it might not be for everyone. The calzone was just okay, so I wouldn’t order that again. The waitstaff are genuine, warm, and attentive. This is a perfect spot for a date. If I find myself in the area and craving Italian food, I will definitely come back here!
As always, the food is delicious. Love the homemade pasta and fresh veggies. The owner seems very passionate about the food. However, service was terrible. There were more people working than customers and they were mainly standing around. The waitress seemed confused by their menu, when there was a spill they seemed totally spaced out and we had to ask several times to bring towels. They hardly checked on our group and we had to ask for things that should have been brought. It is a tiny place, so when one asks for a spoon not sure why it would take so long to get it to the table. Hope they get their act together as meals are yummy and it is a cute little place.
we really enjoyed our lunch at vitaly. the lasagne was delicious and so were the other pasta dishes. the grilled chicken salad with roast potatoes was well prepared and very pleasant. the gelato was amazingly good, especially the chocolate, and the restaurant is really very pleasantly designed and decorated. only minus point was that we were not offered a high chair for our two years.

great place for a casual breakfast. the outside area is pleasant and beautiful. they also have large coffee, try the icy sugar-free vanilla latte with mandelmilch, it was amazing. we sat and spoke quite ahile at our table and the staff had nothing to do with it at all and was not in a hurry to overturn the table. parking can be tricky, but on Sunday morning at 9 it made a brisk!
Very nice little place with a quiet setting and good food. Vitaly has a Gelato shop as part of their business and most people are coming through for the Gelato but the meals, wine and desert was great. The wait staff were very nice and overall a very good experience.

This place is excellent enough to keep me coming back for more.
