I visited this restaurant last week to try their brats and was initially ignored. However, when I finally received assistance, the cowboy brats were amazing, so I have no complaints about the food. Unfortunately, during my visit today, I was greeted in the same unfriendly manner as before. I had to be the one to initiate conversation with the workers both times, as they seemed to just stare blankly when customers walked in. Additionally, the worker who wrapped my jerky did not wear gloves and even took a piece to eat while weighing mine. This was quite concerning. When I requested 2 lbs of ground beef, the same worker, still without gloves, rubbed/itched his eye and then proceeded to handle...
I visited Von Hanson Meats today and asked for some pork steaks. The employee went back to cut it for me, but when I asked how many he had for me, he replied with one. He said it was a good size, but wrapped it before I could see it. I thought it would be enough for two people. However, when I unwrapped it to make dinner, I had to cut off a thick inch-wide portion of fat from the side and top, and ended up having to cut 1 1/2 inches off to make it enough for just one person. I was very disappointed and will not be returning to this establishment.
This is by far the best von Hanson’s around. They always have the biggest selection of fresh brats, the staff are very friendly and eager to help as soon as you walk in the door. The customer service here is outstanding. The store is always well stocked, clean and organized. I have never had a bad experience coming to the champlin Von hansons

I have been a loyal customer of this restaurant for a while now. They always serve delicious steaks, especially when Joe, the master cutter, prepares specialty steaks for me and my guests. The quality of the meat and service is top-notch!
I always leave this shop feeling like I somehow inconvenienced the workers there. I’d rather shop somewhere that doesn’t make me feel like I’m begging for free food. Plus their ribeyes usually look either extremely lean, or very oxidized
Wrong hours listed online; don't shop right before close because they will rudely kick you out of the store. Don't waste you money...just go to CUB.
I like the options but I have previously seen a lot more interesting selections for some items like the brats so this year has been a little boring.
