If you live in or visit Hanwell you must take a lazy walk down by the locks and build up an appetite before heading to the W7 Emporium. It’s a little white door by a crappy old man pub sat next to a small florist. Open the door and the atmosphere is straight away comfortable, your away from the street and simply relaxed and at home. The staff are friendly and offer as much banter as you want to be involved with so this is nice and a change from the branded offerings. The furniture is mix and match and the space light and airy so it fits well with Hanwells vibe and there is an outdoor space for the summer. I was extremely disappointed with the service I received at this restaurant. After waiting for 25 minutes to be attended to, the waiter finally came to take our drink order and was behaving erratically and rudely. To my surprise, I later found out that the waiter was actually the owner of the restaurant. I never even received my drink order and ended up leaving because of the poor treatment. I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone, as the owner's behavior was unacceptable. The food on other tables looked decent, but the way the owner treated customers is unacceptable. I recently had my party for a significant birthday at W7 and enjoyed a really great night. The management team were all very helpful in the planning and organisation and are generally really relaxed and easy going people. On the night there was a great selection of pre-ordered food and drinks, including recently installed draft beer, as well as a good selection of bottles, including the local Weird Beard. Great party venue and vibe, top people, reasonably priced and on your doorstep. What more could you want?
This is a true oasis. Saying that they do great food is an understatement of a century, genuine and welcoming staff that make you feel Part of the family after a couple of visits. The who clientele is fantastic and it's a great place to meet people as everyone is truly lovely. The secret garden in the back away from the street is an absolute gem and they even have live music events in the summer. LOVE LOVE LOVE

Have never even noticed this place despite living in Hanwell. Visited with husband after he saw it mentioned somewhere. Not disappointed. Lovely food, drinks eggs benedict with bacon/tuna bake. Friendly, attentive staff may have been the owner, manager and another member of staff. Love the decor and informal feel felt like we were visiting friends. Stayed much longer than intended and will visit again often.
We had our daughter’s birthday movie party here. The venue was so lovely as were Claire and Olivier. Best ever children’s party food never seen kids eat up so much all lovingly prepared on site from scratch. I can attest that the chips were top knotch! Would say ideal for 12 children, up to 14 if 7 or younger.
Been in to this charming little place on several occasions most recently in November of 2016. I have always found the staff to be extremely friendly and welcoming. I love the whole vibe of the place and the food and coffee is exceptional. Bravo!
We went for brunch this morning while staying at my partner's daughter's place in Hanwell. The atmosphere was fantastic, the staff were great, and the food was fabulous. What more could you ask for?

The staff at this restaurant is very friendly and welcoming. The outdoor garden is lovely. The food is freshly cooked with a good selection of choices. I will definitely be coming back again.
Took my sister here for coffee and lunch. The menu is short but has nice choices. Cakes also very good.
