We were unsure if we'd be allowed to "just have a coffee" since it was lunch time but the owner could not have been more welcoming. He brought coffee right away and we decided to share a piece of apple pie. Large and delicious!! He told us they have it made specially for the restaurant by a local baker. The decor in the old building adds to the sense of history there. Anyway, it was a really great experience - a genuinely friendly greeting makes all the difference.
well the returaunt was nice and clean.the food was great.but the service was bad waited to be seated waited to be served.as we watched the waitress eat her lunch.while we waited still for our lunch a rude guy from the kitchen dropped our food on the table.never were we asked if we would like a drink or anything else.o and it was not busy at all two other table.im sure i will walk by this place if im ever in barkervile again..
Very tasty food, excellent service, a bit pricey for some basic Canadian cuisine. We enjoyed the Eggs Benedict, Chicken Souvlaki-but the menu did say the souvlaki came with potatoes-we didn't have any on our plate, other than that it was a tasty dish. Be sure to ask for extra Tzatziki. I would eat here again for the good service and tasty food, but it doesn't quite get 5 stars for me.
We arrived at 11:30 to have a brunch as they were late in opening. My granddaughter wanted pancakes. The breakfast menu was finished . They made her eggs bacon and instead of toast was a pancake. She was thrilled . Great customer service Réservez une table maintenant
