I had an excellent dining experience at this restaurant, which truly deserves to be a destination for cyclists. The food was fantastic, the staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was inviting. During my visit, I noticed several cyclists coming and going, highlighting how welcoming they are to bike riders. I enjoyed a delicious Western omelet that was impressively large, and the staff went above and beyond by offering to refill my water bottles with ice and water—such a thoughtful touch! I’m looking forward to making this one of my regular stops on my bike rides.
We stopped by Walden’s on our bike ride across the country. As soon as we walked in they asked us if we were long distance cycling. We said yes and the waitress, Vicki said, lunch is on us! WOW! How nice of them. Vicki was super nice and told all about the restaurant and area. We ordered a large Shredded Italian sandwich with fries. We were going to share it. HOLY COW! The sandwich was HUGE, actually two whole subs and the fries were hand cut. What a great lunch. We would highly recommend Walden’s to all cyclists passing through Burgettstown.
Walden's in Burgettstown is my go-to spot for lunch while on the Panhandle Rail Trail. This family-owned and operated restaurant offers a welcoming atmosphere and tasty food at affordable prices. On summer Sundays, they feature a BBQ menu that includes a choice of ribs, chicken, or pork, along with two sides for just $10! I opted for the ribs, paired with green salad and potato salad. Everything is homemade and absolutely delicious. If you find yourself in the Burgettstown area of Pennsylvania, be sure to stop by Walden's!
This place was absolutely incredible! We had a wonderful time chatting with our waitress, discussing everything from the state of the world to the unique aspects of Texas. If you find yourself waiting for a flight in Pittsburgh, I highly recommend visiting this restaurant. The food was outstanding, and it guarantees a memorable experience! Réservez une table maintenant
Loved this place! Treated like family on our 1st time there! The food was delicious! Can't wait to go back! Also wanted to say thank you for saving my life with the cup of ice you gave me on our way back, on that super hot day! Totally got me though the rest of that 60 mile ride!
