Die Location war urig gemütlich und mitten im Wald. Nach unserer Wandertour mit den 4 Hunden sind wir eingekehrt mit vorheriger telefonischer Tischreservierung. Der Service war sehr sympathisch und nett. Der Beilagensalat war jetzt vom Geschmack nicht mein Geschmack mit Essig und Öl, aber alles andere war mehr als qualitativ hochwertig und unbeschreiblich köstlich. Sei es von Käsespätzle bis hin zum Schnitzel. Aber auch die umwerfenden Bratkartoffeln waren ein Traum, denn solch ein guter Geschmack kannten wir noch nicht. Essen war sehr lecker. Bei der Bestellung wurde auf die wünsche der Kinder eingegangen. Frankfurter Schnitzel war eine große Portion. Die Grüne Soße war sehr lecker. Vorab gab es einen Beilagensalat. Die Käsespätzle haben hervorragend geschmeckt und brauchen sich nicht vor den Allgäuer Kässpätzle zu verstecken. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Today I tried the dish with roasted goose leg, red cabbage and knödeln. It was perfect!This restaurant is located in the forest between Lorsbach (30 min walk), Hofheim (1 hour) and Kelkheim (30 min). But one can drive there aswell. Good quality regional dishes, but also various schnitzel variations and steaks. Fresh salads and vegetables.
I really loved the food I tried there. Typical traditional restaurant decorated with hunting stuff. The service was ok, the place and its atmosphere was warm and nice and the food was great. I tried some snitzel with mushroom sauce and it was delicious. You can taste real homemade dishes they prepare there. I'll come back for sure. :)

Sehr schöner Gasthof, das Essen sieht sehr lecker aus. Die Atmosphäre bei Sonne im Biergarten am Wald ist traumhaft. Allerdings leben wir im Jahr 2024 und ich verstehe nicht, warum hier keine Kartenzahlung angeboten. Kauft euch doch Sum Up. Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5
"Deep" in the forest of Kelkheim, this place offers great local food and nature combined (you literally sit in the forest). Try the "Handkäse mit Musik" and the "Frankfurter Schnitzel". It's really worth a visit. But come with an empty stomach as the portions are huge :)
Wie immer leckeres Essen. Im Gastraum wohlige Wärme durch den Ofen. Bedienung sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Sonderwünsche wurden erfüllt. Sehr zu empfehlen. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €30–40
We spent a Sunday in the area and stopping here for lunch was a nice break. Food and atmosphere are nice, all surrounded by the forest, but it took too much time (it was crowded and they do not have that many staff).
