the restaurant / high gras is worth in any case. whether as a destination for a hike through the beautiful habichtswald or as a meeting point with friends / family to a delicious food.The menu is not overcrowded, but surely offers something for every taste. with us there were spicy carvings. hessian tasty carving and a carving with cheese and berry baked, each with bratkartoffeln instead of the pommes mentioned on the card and a small beilagen salat. no frozen or friteusenware, all fresh and very tasty. the portions were more than sufficient, the price/performance ratio was correct. there was a freshly tapped beer. the restaurant offers a great beer garden / outdoor area, but unfortunately i...

Have now eaten lunch at Hohes Gras a number of times, both inside and outside. The outside area has great views of the forest and nearby Kletterwald. The food has been consistently good and the service always prompt and friendly. The restaurant is very family...friendly with a good selection in the children's menu. Also for those with a sweet tooth there is a large list of excellent waffles to choose from as well as a large range of ice creams. Overall a great quiet place to enjoy a meal.

The restaurant is situated right in the middle of the forests surrounding Kassel Wilhelmshöhe (not sure whether this counts already as Habichtswald). There are plenty of tables to sit outside, and convenient and 'gemuetlich ' rooms inside. It is an old building that speaks about German...Waldeslust. Food is basic but fresh.
